The first trailer for Captain Marvel is released. Marvel introduces Carol Danvers as Marvel’s first female solo headline title. The role of Carol Danvers is played by Brie Larson.
Carol Danvers is a fighter pilot, who finds out that she has powerful cosmic abilities, and gets into a very difficult situation with an intergalactic war between enemy races the Kree and the Skrulls.
Standout moments from the trailer:
Nick Fury from S.H.I.E.L.D. appearing in “Captain Marvel”.
We also see the 1990s version of Agent Phil Coulson, played by Clark Gregg.
Carol and her good friend and fellow fellow Air Force pilot, Maria “Photon” Rambeau (played by Lashana Lynch) are seen in the trailer side by side, looking confident and ready to take to the skies.
Maria is not the only one we see Carol walking alongside, as she’s also seen, wearing her green Kree uniform, with other members of the Kree military unit known as Starforce – along with a shot of Jude Law, who plays Starforce’s commander.
Look closely at the bottom left of the lightened Captain Marvel movie poster to see the faint image of the back of Chewie the cat.According to CNET: That cat, which you can faintly see in the bottom left side of the new poster, is not a normal feline. In fact, it isn’t really a regular Earth-bound kitty at all. The cat is actually an alien species called Flerken that just so happens to look like a run-of-the-mill cat. Not knowing her cat was an alien species, Danvers ironically named her pet Chewie after Star Wars Wookiee sidekick Chewbacca.
